Our Mission
“Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
As newlyweds Danny and Kerri Wolfenbarger decided they wanted to build their marriage on Christ and point others to Him. Hiking For souls is the result of combining their enthusiasm for the great outdoors with the Great Commission. It is their desire to proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to “all we can by every effective means available to us and by encouraging others to do the same.” Starting at Springer Mt. Georgia, they plan to share the Good News of Jesus with hikers while making their way North on the Appalachian Trail (A.T.).
The Appalachian Trail
The Appalachian trail starts at Springer, Mt Georgia and runs 2100 miles North to Mt. Katahdin, Maine. Each year approximately 3,000,000 people set foot on the A.T. and about 3,000 of those attempt a thru hike from Georgia to Maine. Hikers from all over the world (young and old) come to hike the Appalachian Trail. They are enjoying the peacefulness of creation or challenging themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually. Many come for solitude and healing or search for meaning in their life that has eluded their grasp.
Please pray that Danny and Kerri will be faithful agents of Christ and that God will prepare hearts and open doors for sharing the Good News with many searching souls hiking the A.T.

“Although we feel inadequate and sometimes intimidated about sharing Christ with friends and strangers, we are emboldened by the Spirit of God within us and the words of Christ, “I am with you always even unto the end of the age” and as He said to the apostle Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
